What are the top 5 records you could never live without?
Led Zeppelin - II: THE first record I remember listening to as a kid and hands down STILL one of the best records ever.
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The 36 Chambers: I had heard a few hip hop records before this one, but none of them held a candle to this album at that point. One of the best groups that has ever graced hip hop.
Converge - Jane Doe: I thought I knew about hardcore/metal until this album. This was the first Converge album I picked up and since then, Converge has become one of my favorite bands. This album is flawless.
The Gaslight Anthem - The '59 Sound: I'm a Jersey kid who never got into Bruce. Blasphemy, I know. This band is the closest I've come to really experiencing the Boss...and I'm OK with that.
Tom Waits - Blood Money: Yeah, he has about 76 albums, but this was the first one I had heard from Mr. Waits. EVERY song on this album is an experience.

Notice a trend with "first listens" on all of these albums. Definitely proof positive of the old axiom, "First impressions are lasting ones..."

Name 5 bands that you think most people don't know that should be huge
How about 5 hip hop artists?

Joell Ortiz, Blu, Hell Razah, Brother Ali, Sean Price

What is your favorite venue to see a show, and why?
Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park. Give me a bowling alley, cheap Miller High Life and awesome bands and I'll give you a hug. Luckily, that's what this place provides.

What's your favorite breakfast cereal?
I'd actually prefer a pork roll, egg and cheese sammich. Yes to ketchup, hold the salt...a little extra pepper.

If there was a movie made about you, who would play the starring role?
Gerard Butler in 300. No I don't have abs and I'm certainly not Scottish in real life or a Spartan in some fake life. We share a kindred, bearded spirit.
